White & Black Hangar 21 South Wedding

Once hair and makeup ready, Lauren ascended down the Hangar 21 South steps from the bridal suite for a first look with her father. With light beaming through the entryway windows creating a glow around the bride, her dad turned around and a smile filled their faces. Sweet compliments flowed, and hugs were exchanged, then Lauren headed to the tarmac to continue first looks, but this time with her groom. With her lace gown trailing behind her, Lauren tapped Thomas鈥 shoulder. Thomas turned around grinning from ear to ear. The couple shared loving words and kisses, then were joined by their bridal party for group photos. Each groomsman wore black, and each bridesmaid matched in black dresses. Bouquets of white matched each boutonniere and memories were made as the group posed together.

Guests entered the side patio and found their seats facing a circular backdrop decorated with white flowers and greenery. Once everyone had arrived, the Hangar doors closed, and the wedding party made their entrances down the aisle. Thomas led the way and Lauren ended the processional. In front of their closest friends and family, Thomas and Lauren read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. Everyone stood and cheered as the newlyweds excitedly exited into cocktail hour.

Black linens were draped over cocktail tables on the tarmac where guests could sit or stand while enjoying hors d鈥檕euvres and drinks. Tray passed Caprese Skewers and Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms made their rounds while the bar was serving up the newlywed鈥檚 signature drinks, a Paloma and Old Fashioned. While everyone mixed and mingled, the bride and groom enjoyed a flight over Orange County touching down just in time for dinner.

The Hangar doors opened revealing the reception space inside as guests found their assigned seats. Keeping with the black and white theme, white florals and plates topped each table and black candles and napkins completed the tablescapes. Lauren and Thomas made their helicopter grand entrance as guests cheered from their tables. Once in the hangar, the couple shared their first dance then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Toasts were shared and glasses clinked in the air as each speech ended, then dinner was served. Chicken Piccata, Penne Alla Checca, Roasted Italian Zucchini, Sliced Tomatoes with Buffalo Mozzarella and Italian Chopped Salad filled guest鈥檚 plates. The Italian inspired menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Arielle, during their planning process. Rave reviews of the dinner were shared around each table, then it was time to cut the cake. A personal-sized red velvet cake was sliced and enjoyed by the bride and groom while guests indulged in our Gourmet Dessert Station with an assortment of mini lemon curd tarts, berry champagne macarons, raspberry chocolate decadence cakes, mini carrot cupcakes, and caramel creme with lemon curd and praline crisp dessert shots. Once everyone had eaten their fill, guests headed to the dance floor where they showed off their best moves next to the bride and groom for the remainder of the evening.
