Tropical Blooms at Hangar 21 South

Natasha and Jose met for their first look at Hangar 21 South with their wedding party watching from a distance. With a tap of the shoulder Jose turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace wedding gown and floor length veil. Huge smiles filled both of their faces and sweet compliments were shared. The bride and groom then gathered with their wedding party for photos on the tarmac. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were dressed in black and had contrasting bouquets and boutonnieres made of tropical flowers to match the theme of the wedding. Memories were made as the photographer snapped on, then the group lined up for ceremony.

A tropical welcome sign greeted guests at the courtyard doors. Upon entry, gifts were dropped off and voice messages were saved instead of the usual pen and paper guestbook, then guests took a seat. An angular ceremony backdrop covered in vibrant purple and orange flowers with large leaves marked where the bride and groom would soon be standing, and more floral arrangements were at the back of the aisle. Once everyone had arrived, the wedding party made their entrances. Natasha made her appearance down the aisle, and it was an emotional walk to the stage. In front of their closest family and friends, Jose and Natasha read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and shared a kiss. Everyone cheered as the newlyweds exited the ceremony into cocktail hour.

Cocktail tables were draped in black linen and small floral centerpieces added pops of color. A lounge complete with black bamboo chairs, orange couch, coffee table and palm print rug provided a relaxing space where guests could sit back for a while and life-size Jenga and Connect 4 games were set up. Black Bean and Sweet Potato Empanadas, Beef Picadillo Empanadas, and Crab Cakes were tray passed while the bar served up the newlywed鈥檚 signature drinks, a Mojito and Paloma. While everyone mixed and mingled, Natasha and Jose headed out to the tarmac for golden hour photos and their flight over Orange County. Upon their return, it was time for dinner.

Inside the hangar, some tables were topped with teal linens and others were left bare exposing wood. A hanging tropical floral installation hung over the black dance floor and the ceremony backdrop was repurposed for the sweetheart table. Once everyone was seated, Natasha and Jose made their grand entrance into their first dance, then dinner was served. The first course was Ensalada Las Mesas followed by a dual entr茅e second course of Tequila Lime Chicken and Barbacoa Beef Enchiladas with Pasilla Rice and Black Beans. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Sierra, during their planning process. Rave reviews of the food were shared around each table, then it was time for dessert and dancing. The energy was high all evening between the dancing and posing at the photo booth. Well wishes were shared with the newlyweds as guests departed and the evening came to a close.
